by the way, I saw Maria Lydon's picture on this site somewhere. Maria, do you remember me? I was your roommate at UMass for about a semester. I used to date John Martin. He is in Texas now expecting his second baby! You'd remember me if you saw me... I look exactly the same. No wrinkles. Haven't aged a bit! (LOL!!)    afro

Somebody let me know too! I haven't been to any of them either. I heard there was something listed in the Hingham Journal about it though.

Hey Jodi !!

I remember you! Do you remember me? I used to be friends with Barbara Koehlinger. You used to be friends with Shelley, right? What are you up to?

I'm currently living in Los Angeles, but I just put all my junk in storage and I'm driving across country to go back east, unless I get sidetracked along the way. I'm so ready to get out of L.A. I could scream. I'm still single, never married, no kids.

I hope someone can tell us when this darn reunion is.

I sure do remember you.  I still live in Mass, but not in Hingham anymore. I just got married for the second time 2 weeks ago, no kids of my own, but I inherited 4 stepkids, haha.  I'm trying to find out when/if there is a reunion this year.  I would imagine there would be one.  I will try to get in touch with Shelley to see if she knows anything.  I know she went to the other ones.  I will let you know if I hear anything.  Have you talked to anyone else from our class?

Four step kids? Wow! I bet they're all wonderful. Now you have a big family!

I've not been good with staying in touch with people. As I get older, it's more important to me to reach back and grab pieces of my past. I've not seen Barbara Koehlinger in ages. Lisa Bortnick I've seen a few times. She married a man from Hingham and is doing really well. I've been exchanging emails with Alan Meilsler. He and I were in a play called "Kisso the Bear" together in Junior High.

I don't know if you remember but I left high school a year earlier. I went to UMass in Amherst and spent one year there before moving out to California. Once you're in a place, it sure is hard to get out. I've been here for ages since I was 19 years old. In 1999, I drove across country back to Mass and lived there for five years. Then I met a guy online and moved to Australia. Lived there for a year. Things didn't work out and plonk! I was back in Los Angeles.

Well this town has now become incredible overpriced and the traffic is insane, so I've packed up my bags and I'm hitting the road in a few weeks. All my work is freelance so I can live wherever I like!

Tell Shelley I said "Hi".

I called Hingham High School and as far as I can tell, nobody has planned a reunion for this year. I would like to try and find out who planned the 20th year reunion. They may have a list of who was in our class and where those people are today. I'm happy to help plan this year's reunion if that's what is needed.

Anybody who wants to reach me, can email me at CastorLosAngeles@yahoo.com

Australia? Wow! The only other place I have lived other than Mass is in Maine for a year.  Shelley and I went to college there for a year...she actually left after one semester and went to SMU (now UMASS Dartmouth), and I ended up there too.  I ended up withdrawing after 1 1/2 years because I didn't really know what I wanted to do.

I haven't seen Barbara since Lisa Noble (Bortnick) got married.  I know her husband Brian from school and from church.  They send me adorable pictures of their 2 kids every year at Christmas.  I have only just sort of re-established contact with Shelley.  She's living the life in Connecticut with her husband and 2 kids.  These are the only 2 I have managed to keep up with.  I sometimes wonder whatever happened to some of the other kids we went to school with....I would dearly love to find out where Kari Delude is....she moved before we even made it to High School.   Tell Alan hello for me....we grew up only a few streets away from each other.

My mother still lives in Hingham, and I go there often to see her, but boy, has that town changed.  It's no where near the nice little town we grew up in.  I think the average house price there now is around $600k.  It has totally lost its small town appeal, and doesn't feel like home anymore, even though it is still pretty.

Let me know if you hear anything about a reunion...I haven't heard back from Shelley yet, and I can't remember who our class president was, but I think they are the ones who are supposed to put these things together.  If you head back East, let me know!

Catch you later!!

Hi Jodi,

Well, there is something to be said about staying put, believe me. Barbara is happily married with two boys, last I heard. Yeah, I wonder what happened to Kari Delude. She taught me how to smoke cigarettes! I may be back in Mass soon. If so, I'll have to take a drive through Hingham. It's sad how things change, isn't it? Makes me feel like I'm getting old.

Have you gotten a hold of Shelley? I'm worried that if someone doesn't plan a reunion soon, we won't have one. I think November is a popular time frame for reunions because people come home for the holidays. If you send me an email address, I'll send you some pics!

Hey Jodi,

I just joined classmate.com and found a few more people over there inquiring about the reunion and so on. You may recognize a few of the names. You may want to check it out.

I am in the process of switching my internet server from Verizon to Comcast, so I will email you when I get it done....no sense in doing it now, since my address will be no good in a few days, lol.  Does anybody on Classmates have any info about our reunion?  Isn't the class president supposed to be the one to plan it?
I'm glad to hear Barbara is doing well, and is happy....I always liked her. If you talk to her, tell her hi for me! Hmmm, Kari taught me how to smoke, too. I know when we were in junior high she moved to Florida, but after that I heard no more.  she had been my best friend since nursery school.
If you get back to Hingham, brace yourself.  It is NOTHING like you will remember.  There really isn't a whole lot left of the "small town flavor".  The average house price there now is around $600k, with alot of million dollar homes thrown in for good measure.  Even the High School looks totally different.  I know we can't stop progress, but it still is painful sometimes.
I haven't heard back from Shelley yet....she and I have grown way apart, and are having a bit of difficulty finding common ground now.  she doesn't email me back that much, but I keep trying!
I'm going to check out classmates and see who's there.  Catch you later, and I won't forget to email you.

Tell everyone you get in contact with to register on the Alumni Site - we are in the process of updating a few things and shortly you will be able to look at a listing of those who are register here by Class year.
